Astrid

Astrid is our manager, bookkeeper and resident redhead. She and Johan started Juizi together in 1996, but she stepped into her current role in 2009. She has qualifications in various fields, including food science (MSc), bookkeeping, marketing, and wine evaluation (WSET Level 3). She’s full of energy and when she’s not in the office creating some level of order, she can often be seen around town on her bicycle or going for long walks in nature, preferably with family and friends.

Karel

Karel is our front-end developer, designer and animation enthusiast. Armed with a Diploma in Multi-Media and Graphic Design, he’s been a front-end developer for almost 20 years, and joined Juizi in 2011. Web design is an ever-changing field, but Karel is a lifelong learner so he always knows what’s what. When he’s not designing and building beautiful and functional websites, traveling, or watching an animated movie, he can be found at the gym.

Karel became a Plone Foundation Member in 2023.

Johan

Johan is our developer, chief coffee drinker and random fact knower. He knew from a young age that he wanted to be an engineer. After he graduated with a degree in electronic engineering, he worked on bottling machinery for a few years before becoming a software developer. He and Astrid founded Juizi in 1996. In his free time, he likes to tinker and build things.
